Meet Our Team

Hi! First, I’d love to thank you for checking out my cozy little corner of the internet!

I’m a pretty simple girl, it doesn’t take much more than some good food, good company and some cute animals to make me happy!

With both of my professional degrees I feel like I fell into them kind of by accident. When I was a teenager my friends would come over and lay down on the floor, asking me to “crack” their back. I was that kid that was constantly cracking my joints and I loved the noise. One offhand comment from my mom telling me that if I loved cracking people so much I should just become a chiropractor was really all it took. Get paid to crack people? Sign me up!

At chiropractic college there was a school of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. The acupuncture interns at my first appointment led me through such an in depth interview about my health and how my body worked. Let me tell you that there were things that we talked about that I had just accepted as “normal” because I had experienced them my whole life. What blew me away was how much it helped with hormonal and menstrual issues. I went regularly and within a couple of months was shocked at how great I could actually feel, and I didn’t even realize I felt bad until I felt better.

This is the energy I hope to bring to those who walk through the doors. There will of course be people who come in feeling bad, but I also see a lot of people coming in just to try things out because they were curious. I want this to be a place where magic happens. Not because you are coming in broken and we are fixing you, but because you are whole and we are just up levelling!

I designed the Evergreen brand and logo to encompass the whole life cycle. I love to work with people in the pre-conception space, regulating periods and preparing the body for pregnancy and birth. And then I also love to work with infants, kids, teens and beyond. Through all the cycles of life. From the seed of the pinecone all the way through to a full grown tree that thrives through all the seasons.

Lauren is our in-house baby whisperer aka lactation and postpartum Doula! When she retires you will find her applying to every NICU snuggle baby program there is, moving to wherever allows her in first! She is fiercely in love with the newborn stage and has always felt like her time on earth was meant to be spent “nap trapped”.

Lauren comes from decades of experience with infants and toddlers as either an early childhood educator with expertise in infant development, or as a postpartum doula, working privately as well as through Childbirth Kingston and the Doula Support Foundation. She also teaches postpartum education with Childbirth Kingston and sits on the board of directors for the Doula Support Foundation.

Human milk has always fascinated Lauren, and the moment it really started to pique her interest was when she found out that human milk can heal so many things. Since then, Lauren has consumed as much information about lactation as she can and is always looking for learning opportunities.

Being a mom of three daughters with her youngest just at the one year birthday milestone, Lauren has had her own share of lactation experiences and parenting struggles and triumphs. She also has learned the value of silence and alone time in the process of parenting. In fact, some may say 'overstimulated' is her middle name. Her favourite forms of self care include reading books, camping, long walks, hikes, and kitchen dance parties.

Coffee is Lauren’s love language so if you aren’t sure how she might help and want to know more, email her for a cuppa!

Rebecca Dedrick

Rebecca (she/her) brings compassion and understanding in each treatment, fostering an environment where you can feel safe and empowered. Her practice focuses on using breath work, fascial techniques, deep tissue and, in particular, relaxation to optimize mobility and body awareness. She believes client education is essential in order to bring attention to areas of the body that hold tension and create imbalance.

Having spent the last few years as an RMT in the Kingston community, Rebecca has been dedicated to expanding her knowledge in the field. She is determined to create a calming and peaceful environment that allows for you to come in and shed the weight of your day. A space to feel heard and supported in your healing journey.

Rebecca is passionate about myofascial release and has found considerable success working with clients who exhibit chronic pain concerns. In addition, she enjoys slowing her treatments down for clients whose main concerns are stress and tension. She is passionate about massage and tailoring each treatment plan to fit the individual—she does not believe in a one size fits all approach for her clients. In conjunction with massage, Rebecca offers indie head massage and cupping treatments. She also frequently uses temperature therapy, both warm and cool, during her treatments to encourage circulation and tissue movement.

She likes for her clients to leave feeling refreshed, relaxed but most importantly understood, knowing their autonomy was respected. Rebecca encourages you to ask any questions you may have, to chat away for the hour if you wish, or to let yourself sink into total silence if that is your need. Come as you are!

In her spare time, you can find her exploring nature or dedicating time to her own self care practice. She is passionate about a proper work life balance and spending time with loved ones. Rebecca loves to create art, practise yoga and enjoys lattes on rainy days (or any day for that matter).

With a passion for healing and an open heart, she is here to support you on your journey to optimal health.

Registered Massage Therapist

Amanda Findley (she/they) is a registered massage therapist with a deep respect for the healing power of rest. There are a few things she holds with quiet reverence: the intelligence of the body, the healing power of slowing down, and the trust it takes to be cared for.

Amanda started her practice in 2011 in a multidisciplinary clinic in Toronto, followed by a few years living in coastal British Columbia in a stunning forest sanctuary spa. She now has a thriving practice in Kingston, having found just the right balance of urban living and easy access to nature.

Over the years, she has learned to recognize the hidden toll modern living takes on the body, to collaborate across disciplines, and importantly, to stay humble and curious. Amanda believes effective healthcare isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about asking the right questions and knowing when to refer out.

Amanda’s style is slow, specific, and focused on biofeedback: listening deeply to your words, your breath, your body. She helps your body feel safe enough to soften, believing that meaningful change doesn’t come from force, but from trust. Expect warm towels, guided breathing, hydrotherapy, essential oils, and an approach rooted in science, collaboration, and flow. Clients often describe Amanda’s sessions as deeply relaxing, unexpectedly effective, and gently empowering.

Over the years, Amanda has also trained as a yoga instructor (in the Ashtanga and Hatha styles), a birth doula (briefly—she discovered she prefers sleeping at night), and most recently, she has completed continuing education in acupuncture and postpartum functional movement.

When Amanda is not at work, she can often be found crocheting, out on an adventure with her family, or hula hooping!

Sarah Givens, RMT

Sarah’s passion is helping clients feel and move their best. As a former collegiate athlete, she knows the importance of taking care of your body to keep you performing at your highest level- whether that’s in competitive sport or being able to play with your kids or grandkids without pain.

Her assessment will allow Sarah to tailor your treatment to your own unique needs, and her treatment style includes deeper and more focussed work, while also incorporating relaxation components to allow your nervous system to fully relax into the treatment. Sarah focuses on searching for the root cause of your pain to fully customize treatment. One of the most important parts of her treatments is maintaining a line of open communication between herself and her clients prior, during and post treatment, even if it’s a quick, quiet check-in about the pressure, allowing you to drift into deep, quiet relaxation.

Sarah’s goal of treatment is to make her clients feel comfortable and empowered in their health journey.

When Sarah isn’t in the office she spends her time lifting weights, reading, and walking her dog, Douglas.

Registered Acupuncturist

Nina Liu

Nina moved to Kingston from China where she has a medical background. She studied, interned and worked in hospital settings which has shaped the way that she approaches patient care.

In her treatments she often likes to begin with gentle tui na techniques to help patients relax both mentally and physically before acupuncture. She finds that it helps create a calmer and more grounded treatment experience.

Nina’s treatment style is gentle, thoughtful, and careful. She aims to create an environment where patients feel comfortable, listened to, and cared for.

Her main clinical interests are pain management, digestive health and mental wellness. This includes headaches, menstrual pain, insomnia, stress and anxiety. She genuinely cares about supporting her clients beyond just symptom relief, offering lifestyle suggestions when appropriate, based on each person’s individual situation.
